Sherry has been around dogs and farm animals her whole life. Rode and trained horses for many years. Worked as a 4 H leader in dog, horse and sheep, helping the kids to show their horses in western pleasure and trial. In 4-H dog shows in obedience and showmanship. It is very satisfying helping others to a higher potential. Was training farm dogs on sheep then started her career in Agility in 2007 with her Border Collie Teddy who was 8 years old. Has owned and trained and earned titles on a wide variety of dogs in agility, barn hunt, dog parkour, rally, trick dog, dock diving, and NASDA. Has trained and shown her own dogs including Border Collies, Corgi, Catahoula, and mixes to the master level in Agility in AKC, USDAA, CPE, NADAC and UKI.
I continue to take online classes and seminars to keep learning new and better ways of handling my dogs in order to pass on the information to my students and their dogs.
Is a AKC Evaluator for CGC, Star Puppy, Farm Dog, trick dog, Temperament test and the AKC Act program. Can evaluate AKC virtual dogs in Basic home manners and trick.
I Believe in positive reinforcement helping the dogs reach their best potential. My goal is to help handlers connect with their dogs. Building handler focus and dog confidence. Striving for dogs that want to please and work with their handlers, and handlers who want their dogs to have fun. I believe that the more fun your dog has with you, the better they will perform for you. Its all about having fun with your dogs not about the ribbons. Our dogs are our friends and loving companions.
