Agility Classes

Open to all Dogs & Puppies  5 Months &  up.  Should  know  some  basic  obedience.  NO Aggressive dogs...  This  should benefit  all dogs  even  if  you  are  already in an agility class.  We  will go  over basic commands, plus Touch, Directions, Targeting, FOCUS, Self control for dogs ( Its  their Choice) Distractions, Crate Games, Ball Balance, how to build confidence  and  more.  Dogs  need  to be  able  to lead.   This  is great  for  helping  dogs  be  more  attentive to their handle also   is a great  class for  dogs before  beginning an agility class..  NEW CLASSES  check calendar .   These are six week class starting at 60.00 for 6  weeks plus membership in KCA
ADVANCED AGILITY CLASS
  Advanced Agility Classes are for dogs & handlers who are ready to compete in agility trials, or are already competing. The dog should be  familiar & comfortable doing  all the equipment.  No aggressive dogs as  dogs will be working  completely off  lead.  Dogs  need  to  have  a great  recall and stay.  You will learn different handling  situations, start line stays, front,  rear & blind crosses.  Different turns  and  learning distance work.  Much  more.  These are 6 week classes  starting at 60.00 for 6  weeks  Plus  20  for membership for a year.

INTERMEDIATE AGILITY CLASS
The intermediate class  is for dogs and  handlers  to learn  how to read shoulder & body movement.  Dogs should have a  good recall.  How  and  when to  use  hands and  your feet.  Will help you & your  dog  to become a better team.  It does help if you work with your dogs at home  on the homework from class. We  want a happy dog that wants to work with you.  You have  to be the one thing  your  dog  loves to play  with besides toys and treats.   You should be able to work your  dog on small sequences with out having to treat  every time.  Want  to work on handler and dog  focus.  These are 6 week classes  starting at 60.00 for 6  weeks  Plus  20  for membership for a year.

Intro II agility
This is an intro II class open to dogs and puppy 5 months and up. This class is for dogs that have completed the Intro I class  your instructor  has  said you can move to Intro II when it  is safe to do so. Dogs will be introduced to all the agility equipment. Dogs should have a recall and will learn to work off lead . NO AGGRESSIVE DOGS if we feel a dog is a danger to other dogs or handlers you will be excused from class. Dogs should have had at least 1 basic obedience class or foundation class. Should walk on loose lead and have a good sit or down.  A  good recall is a must. 

No Aggressive dogs or dogs in season.

Intro Agility
 The Into class is for dogs & puppies 6  months  and older  who have basic obedience knowledge and  a  beginning recall.  Dogs  should be able  to sit and stay for  a  short period of time.  This  class  usually starts out on lead to  get your dog comfortable with agility equipment.  If your dog  stays with you good and has a good recall we  will try off lead.  The  sooner  you teach your  dog  a  great recall and  sit stay  you will move up to  Intro II  class then on to Intermediate.  It  is important  to work  with  your dogs at home  and  maybe a park or  someplace different  to  learn to focus on you.   No aggressive  dogs allowed .  Please bring  proof  of shots  and  a  buckle  collar and  at  least a 6  ft  leash.  These are 6 week classes  starting at 80.00 for 6  weeks. Plus  20  for membership for a year.

2x2 Weave Class with a twist
This is a new weave pole class . You will have homework to do. Class is open to KCA members who have dogs in agility classes or starting. Dogs need to be around 1 year old or older. If you have questions please ask. Weaving is one of the hardest things for some dogs to learn so we would like to take this time to really work on weaves. We will also touch on the teeter and tunnel Need for you to commit to at least 6 of the 8 weeks. Class is 8 weeks long with a break on July 4 no class that night.  $80.00 paid on first nite of class If you know your not going to make all 8 weeks talk to me about the price. We will not cancel because of temp unless really bad.
